WWE 14: 10 Implications From THQ Sale To Take Two

6. Graphical Upgrades

I don't know about you, but something that has always disappointed me with the WWE games has been the usually sub-par, average-at-best graphics, which up until the last two games, felt like they were always a few years behind. Granted, introducing TV-style visuals into the mix has certainly helped make things pop more visually, but the overall texture quality is still miles behind similar sporting titles, and lets us know how low-budget these games really are. The benefit of 2K starting out on the next generation is that they can immediately wow us with a new set of toys; not only will the next-gen graphics look leaps and bounds ahead of what we're currently seeing, but 2K's devotion to graphics in their other sporting games - NBA 2K13 is a visual marvel to behold - would ensure that the THQ/Yukes games look medieval by comparison.
