WWE 2K15: 10 Reasons Why It Must Recreate The Monday Night Wars

8. New/Old Announcers

You've had a new wrestling game for the last two weeks. You've played it every night. You could cheat and press a single button to unlock all of the wrestlers, but that doesn't do much for your self-esteem. So you play through the story mode. It's a blast, for the most part, and you get a good feel for how the game changes depending on who faces whom. So far so good, until Michael Cole drops that stupid "methodical pace" line again. (That's the game's way of telling you you're slow, by the way.) WWE has used the same announcers, spouting much of the same dialogue, for the past several games. It's time to bring in some new old blood. Keep Cole, Lawler, and Jim Ross, of course. But if you're doing a Monday Night Wars game, names like Tony Schiavone and Eric Bischoff €“ especially the heel, NWO Bischoff €“ must be there. Bring in Michael Buffer as a ring announcer and you've really got something. And frankly, it's time to get Gene Okerlund and Bobby Heenan in the studio. They should have been in "30 Years of WrestleMania" game, so this could make up for it.
