WWE 2K15: 10 Steps To Building The Hype

10. A Proper Explanation Of The Game

The most straight forward way for WWE to improve the promotion of 2K is to simply explain the product better. Instead of vague three minute comedy segments, the company should instead dedicate a serious 15 minute explanation of the product. To older wrestling fans the game comes off as a kids novelty in the short light hearted spots, so spend a bit of time to get over the fact that this product has something to offer everyone. Just as in the same way WWE uses TV to sell PPV products, they should also use the broadcast to push the video game product. The reason WWE so far doesn't a book full segment explaining and demonstrating the product is they think wrestling fans will tune out. Not everyone is a gaming fan after all. However, if the company can spare ten minutes for segments such as 'Diva Musical Chairs', then surely it isn't going to hurt to do a segment looking at a video game. A talk through and illustration of the action on the Titantron would be vastly more interesting than some of the Raw action we are subjected with. A proper WWE 2K15 segment that actually sells the product would go a long way this year.
