The game needs a huge endorsement, so who better to cut a promo on the launch than WWE's franchise star John Cena. Like him or not, anything with Cena behind it does well. Merchandise, pay per view buys, tv segments he sells things better than anybody else in the company. 2K15 should launch off the back of a Cena promo in which he tells the WWE Universe to pick it up. The increasingly young audience listens to the star, his influence matters. Cena could then talk through the best new aspects of the game, helping to engage the more cynical fans. To give this selling segment more significance it needs to turn into an angle. This could be done when Batista comes out toward the end of the sales pitch. In full on heel mode 'The Animal' would reveal that he was the original choice to be spokesperson for the game only for WWE to pull the chance from him because of the WWE Universe booing him. As a result he is going to take his anger out on Cena the new 2K15 spokesperson. A beatdown ensues and we get a major storyline underway. By associating the game launch with two major stars and the development of a top level feud on WWE television it gives the game much more prestige. The message is this 2K15 matters.
