WWE 2K15: 10 Things 2K Can Learn From Past Games

10. Wrestler Limits Should Increase

For the longest time, the Smackdown series of games has kept a limit on how many wrestlers can be playable in a single match. Six is a great number of course, but imagine if eight or even ten man tag team matches were possible. The Royal Rumble event consists of up to thirty men, but only six wrestlers make it into the ring before the limit hits, and you have to eliminate someone before another wrestler can come in. Imagine a royal rumble match that had over a dozen wrestlers in the ring at once. It would be crazy, but also just as exciting as a real royal rumble match. Money in the Bank matches, Hell in a Cell matches, TLC matches, they would all get crazier, and a lot more fun, with eight or even ten wrestlers playing at once. The specific number of wrestlers in the ring at one time may sound like a developer necessity, but WWF Royal Rumble for the Dreamcast allowed for up to nine wrestlers to be on the screen at once, so it's certainly not impossible. With the promise and potential of next gen capabilities, perhaps 2K15 can finally increase the wrestler limit and give fans the chance to truly make some controlled chaos in the ring. Online play would be more difficult, but with dedicated servers, it could work.
