WWE 2K15: 10 Things 2K Can Learn From Past Games

7. Single Players Is Essential

While there's plenty of enjoyment to be had from battling your friends and going online to prove that you're the undisputed champion, the single player experience is also something that has been cherished by many fans over the years. The single player mode has gone through a number of changes between games, going from a simple series of matches until you win the world championship all the way to completing an entire simulated year complete with all the plot twists and swerves you've come to expect from the world of professional wrestling. Being able to interact with the WWE superstars and competing for all the championships can prove to be a challenging, yet also rewarding experience. Lately, the single player mode has been given themes (The Attitude Era, WrestleMania Moments, etc) that help relive the awesome moments fans grew up watching. There are a number of topics discussed based on whether or not the single player experience is necessary for certain video games. One example is Titanfall, a game which relies solely on the online experience with minimal cutscenes. The question of whether or not WWE games should remove the single player mode and focus on the online and exhibition modes is debatable, but there's no denying that single player mode has left a heavy mark in wrestling video games over the years, and it would be tough to let go.
