WWE 2K15: 11 Things We Know And Are Excited About

1. Commentary

One of the biggest things Visual Concepts are doing for WWE 2K15 is overhauling commentary. The previous game was blighted by monotone and lifeless calls which soon became susceptible to obvious repetition. In addressing this, 2K have worked closely with Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler, recording 35 hours plus of new lines. Best of all, these lines were mostly recorded with Cole and Lawler in the same room, meaning it all sounds much more natural. Previous titles in comparison had far less hours of lines and commentators always put their recordings down separately. No word on the involvement of Raw co-commentator John Bradshaw Layfield yet, but we presume he will be recording somewhere down the line. One clip which has been heard thus far is Cole and Lawler discussing The Undertaker. Polygon.com states that this sounded very much like natural banter, which is typical of Visual Concepts reputation as the best developer of sports presentations. The site did note that Lawler on his own had a tendency to record his lines with overacting, but let's be honest, that's what he's like on broadcasting! The commentary, graphics and gameplay improvements have been what's getting driven home from 2K15; with all these factors coming together we are readying ourselves for a gaming and wrestling delight!
