WWE 2K15: 15 Potentials Modes To Replace 30 Years Of WrestleMania

1. The Monday Night Wars Mode

A straight down the middle 'Monday Night Wars' mode would be a brilliant idea for WWE 2K15. It seems more relevant than ever with the WWE Network retelling the story of the feud, and with WWE having so many former WWF / WCW talents under contract it is the perfect time for 2K to promote this as a feature. I envision a process in which the gamer works through the wars from start to finish in all the big incidents. On nights where both Raw and Nitro had a stellar main event I propose the game interchanges through the action, so you will be wrestling two matches essentially at the same time. It might sound a bit different but it worked well with GTA 5 where you played two different stories in the same one mission. You could start out wrestling a Nitro match but then as the rest hold spot comes up the game switches to the action at Raw and vice versa. The game would support the progress of matches and objectives with unlockable videos that talk about the period, calling upon WWE library footage to tell the real story of the wars. Major matches you would have to battle through include Hogan vs Goldberg, Mankind vs Rock and all the other facets of competition such as WCW's focus on luchadores against WWF's preference for hardcore bouts. By choosing this mode 2K would essentially be giving themselves the biggest range of tools to work with. So much went on in the wars and so many wrestler characters where involved. I can't really see past this idea as the best choice for WWE 2K15's story mode, but whatever the game makers choose, I expect it will be just exciting as 2K14's Wrestlemania and Undertaker modes. That's the great thing about pro wrestling, there's just so much great history and characters to work with. As a video gamer that opens up so many brilliant avenues to explore. Roll on the Autumn.
