WWE 2K16: 10 Crippling Gameplay Issues That Must Be Fixed

5. The Post-Pin/Kick-Out Animations

You could argue that your superstar should react with an all-consuming anger when their confident tactic to win backfires, but in 2K16 that manifests as losing all control when an animation that sees you either sit static in the ring,or bury your head in your hands kicks in. It means your opponent (the guy or gal who assumedly was already post-devastation anyway) gets up before you, and is already jabbing you in the back of the neck before you can do anything. It definitely ties into the new 'Match Rating'/realistic 'working a show' way of playing, but not all wrestlers react this way. You wouldn't get a guy like Undertaker being so animated about someone kicking out a pin, and it simply shouldn't be forced upon the player for so long. How to fix it: Make these animations superstar-specific. They should tie to being Face or Heel, so perhaps directly related to an Ability in the stat-screen. Failing that, reduce the amount of time control is taken away from you, as having your character just sit there at the complete mercy of your opponent (who's supposed to be the worse-off of the two anyway) just feels broken.
