WWE 2K16: 10 Moments You Can't Recreate In Stone Cold Mode

7. The Neck Break

There has been much made about how WWE should now be looking to celebrate Owen Hart's life rather than forgetting it 16 years after his tragic passing. Martha Hart, Owen's widow, recently declared that she was strongly opposed to a documentary feature Vince McMahon was planning which shows all is not forgiven by any means. The company are also reportedly keen to work the King Of Harts into this Stone Cold mode but it is likely that Owen's family will rebuff their advances. Owen's brother Bret has gone on record saying that his sister-in-law should allow WWE to celebrate her husband's life, yet she looks set to stick to her guns for the foreseeable future. This needs to be worked into the mode somehow, even if it's just part of a video package. It's a moment that would go on to effect Austin's for the rest of his career and would play a huge part in his premature retirement in 2003. Roughly two years before Owen's accident at Over the Edge, he broke Stone Cold's neck during a match at SummerSlam 1997 when a piledriver went wrong. The ending of the match was horrible due to the fact that Austin, who still won, quite literally couldn't move. It would be great to replay it and see Stone Cold go over the way it was intended to happen.
