WWE 2K16: 10 Moments You Can't Recreate In Stone Cold Mode

5. The Hollywood Blondes

There has been a lot of talk on our comments section about the tag team that really shot Austin, and his partner Brian Pillman, into the stratosphere. The Hollywood blondes were one of the leading tag teams during the early 1990s and showcased Steve's talents as a potential main even star, even though this incarnation of the name was only together for around 10 months. The pairing of Steve and Pillman was genius as it combined two similar characters and two greats between the ropes. They complimented each other well and were two advocates on the tag team brand of wrestling. Being able to play out the fantastic pure wrestling spectacles that were the pair's matches against the likes of Ricky Steamboat and Shane Douglas plus The Four Hoursemen would be unbelievable. It would allow you to see another side to Austin, who was recognised as one of the finest in-ring technicians at the time. Injuries would have remodel himself and take on the brawler style that would accompany his Attitude Era run as Stone Cold. The pair made such an impact in a short space of time that WWE tried to rekindle their partnership when both men were working for the company in 1996. They were money. Unfortunately Brian got himself injured all too regularly for them to gain any traction which ironically allowed Steve to flourish with his recently acquired 'Stone Cold' persona. Like so many greats, Pillman will not, as far as we know, be featuring in the new game.
