The Shield vs. Evolution Payback 2014 The Shields final rivalry, with the legendary Evolution, was must-see TV. With Triple Hs backstage responsibilities, it was fun to see him back as an active performer for those few matches, and as a dominant heel while commanding the revitalised faction of himself, Randy Orton and Batista. It was fantastic to see Evolution put Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins over in a huge way before the three men split up after Seth turned on his Shield brethren to join The Authority, to start an already monumental singles career. Both matches between the two teams were brilliant, but their Payback match, in which The Shield defeated Evolution in an elimination style six-man tag-team match with a clean sweep, showcased all three members as resilient, agile individuals. Plus, Bluetista was created, arguably the highlight of The Animals 2014 return (yes, of course Im joking). It was a fitting swan song for both Evolution and The Shield, and would be a fun match to relive with the use of WWEs newest game.
