WWE 2K17: 10 Awesome Match Types It Must Include

1. Three Stages Of Hell

There have only been a handful of Three Stages of Hell (or Two Out of Three Falls) matches in WWE history, but almost all of them have been epic, and that's something which definitely needs to be incorporated into WWE 2K17. With the latest instalment putting a focus on reversals and stamina, this match type would work perfectly, especially if it forced players to strategise in order to make it into the second and third round. The thing about these is that they always feel like epic affairs, and enduring a Singles match, Falls Count Anywhere, and then a Steel Cage would result in a real sense of achievement after winning the bout with severely damaged limbs, pretty much zero stamina, and one final finisher out of nowhere to score that last second win. Why this mode has been dropped from the WWE video games is hard to say, but it's a major error on the part of 2K Games. They need to be a big part of WWE 2K17, and it may even be possible to have one of the Showcase modes revolve around the handful of these which have taken place, be it from the great (Triple H vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin) to the terrible (John Cena vs. Ryback). There's the potential here for a challenging and fun match type which pushes players to the limit, and that's something which needs to be a big part of these games moving forward to keep them relevant and challenging.
