WWE 2K17: 10 Best WCW CAWs
5. Dean Malenko
Few wrestlers in the past couple of decades earned the reputation that Dean Malenko did. Undersized even by cruiserweight standards, Malenko spent years garnering experience in Florida and Japan before heading to ECW. Once there, his skills (and great matches with Eddie Guerrero) got him noticed by WCW, and he was snatched up.
Malenko became an unlikely star in the organization. Despite his size and age, fans got behind him for his amazing technical ability and fearless babyface attitude. His feuds - especially a truly heated program with Chris Jericho - made him a hero of the time. Even though he's been retired for more than 15 years, many modern stars - including Daniel Bryan - cite him as a major influence.
User wwe_rr2000 created an expert "Man of 1,000 holds," and had the perfect inspiration. The user based Malenko's moveset off of the repertoire the character was given in the classic WWF No Mercy video game. What better template could there be?
