WWE 2K17: 10 Improvements It Needs

7. Loading Times

A lot was made in the build up to 2K16's release about the loading time that would be taken out and replaced by content that would keep us gamers enthralled. Well, just looking at Messrs Cole, JBL and Lawler mining their commentary doesn't really do it for me. We need to be hearing some form of monologue from the trio to make the cut scene worth our while, and not as boring as a bog standard loading screen would be. Obviously, with everything that needs to be processed before the bigger matches on the game - in terms of size and not importance that is - loading times will be slow. But certain screens take the biscuit. For example, a six-man tag team match will take almost three minutes on a loading screen before any of the entrances take place. That needs to be shorter as it's one of the most frustrating facets of the game. More frustration comes in the creation suite as the time it takes to load an item of clothing for example, really is far too long. The game almost feels like it has frozen before it eventually comes back to life and previews your CAWs new look. Yet again, I'm nitpicking here. But reducing the loading times of certain features in the game would make for a far more pleasant experience all round.
