7. Goldberg V Lesnar: Should We Expect To See Him Exacting Revenge For WrestleMania 20?

There was obviously something in that pre-order release trailer: Goldberg was being taken to Suplex City (and he didn't look undelighted about the fact), so you could be forgiven for assuming a rematch is on the cards.

But when asked about the possibility of WWE 2K17 offering a chance for revenge for WrestleMania 20, Heyman was as bullish as ever:

"I don't think Brock Lesnar needs to exact revenge for WrestleMania 20, because if you now fast forward to the year 2016, which is the release date for WWE 2K17, it's not Goldberg that's on the cover... It's Brock Lesnar. So the reigning, defending, undisputed night major of Suplex City is Brock Lesnar, and in this game it's Bill Goldberg that has to come up to challenge Brock Lesnar for his top spot for his dominance over Suplex City."

Is that setting up a game mode where Suplex City is an actual place and Goldberg is one of the potential heroes charged with taking Lesnar down? How good would that be as a Streets Of Rage-style side-scroller...?

Even in game-mode, Heyman's quick to talk up Lesnar's dominance:

"I like watching Brock Lesnar conquer people all day long. I don't think Bill Goldberg in this game is going to be too happy with the end result. I know there's all this hype about Bill Goldberg being the key to the big pre-sale this year and the only way to play Goldberg is to get the pre-sale, but even in the pre-sale, Bill Goldberg will be conquered by Brock Lesnar.

From what we know of the pre-order bonus, Goldberg and playable WCW ''Monday Nitro'' and Halloween Havoc arenas are available for fans who buy early.
