8. Fit Finlay

He may not be an active wrestler in 2016, but Fit Finlay is still employed by World Wrestling Entertainment and currently works as a producer. The man from Belfast will surely find himself inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame one day, as a result of his work in WCW and WWE along with his longevity, influence and reputation.

Finlay didn't get a WWE run until 2005, four years after he had arrived in the company to work as a trainer (his career was thought to be ended due to an injury stemming from an in-ring accident while working in WCW). His old-school brawling style managed to get over big in the modern age, and Finlay was rewarded with a United States Championship run and a number of high-profile matches.

To call him one of the most respected men in the business would be an understatement.

What price a downloadable pack of European bruisers? Bad News Barrett and a certain Englishman are also missing from the game after all.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
