WWE 2K17 Roster: 10 Surprising Omissions

9. Terry Funk

From one WWE Hall of Famer to another, Terry Funk may just be the most beloved professional wrestler to never have a decent singles run in WWE. The Funker has had a career lasting well over half a century, which in itself must rank as a truly remarkable achievement. What makes this more insane is that he has done so whilst working some truly intense matches, including some brutal deathmatches with Mick Foley.

Funk is one of the few men to find himself in the WWE, NWA and WCW halls of fame, and the list of championships he has won is impressive to say the least. His only championship in the WWE was a briefer-than-brief tag title reign with Foley, when Funk was Chainsaw Charlie and the Mickster was Cactus Jack.

Funk is yet to be named as part of the WWE 2K17 roster. There can't be a wrestling computer game without the Texas Bronco now can there?

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
