The Road Warriors may very well be the most iconic tag team in the history of professional wrestling, yet there is no room for them in the initial roster reveal for WWE 2K17. There are a few potential reasons for this - Animal's part in an impending lawsuit against WWE among them - but it is still surprising that such an iconic team are missing from the list.

This is especially curious considering Paul Ellering's recent return to World Wrestling Entertainment. Ellering was an integral part of the original Road Warriors success and has returned to WWE programming this year as the brains behind NXT's Authors of Pain tag team. It is no surprise that the Authors haven't made it onto the game due to their recent arrival, but you'd assume that LOD would have.

Alas, no. Jake 'The Snake' Roberts and Arn Anderson are in the game, however, so you can create your own new Bizarro Wold Legion of Doom.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
