Another Hall of Famer missing from the WWE 2K17 roster reveal is 'The Million Dollar Man' Ted DiBiase. Younger fans may be a little naive to DiBiase, but he was one of the biggest heels of the late 1980s, the time when the then-World Wrestling Federation became an integral part of popular culture.

DiBiase never won a world championship in WWE, but he was responsible for kicking off one of the biggest feuds in company history in the lead up to WrestleMania III. After Andre the Giant defeated Hulk Hogan for the title in controversial circumstances he immediately handed the strap to DiBiase, revealing that the richest man in the game had paid off the Giant.

DiBiase was the most despised villain of his era, and his name is one of the most surprising of the early WrestleMania era to be missing. Hogan? Not so much of a surprise. Andre is in there, so you can recreate the WrestleMania III scenario with John Cena in the place of Hogan and Mr. McMahon himself as DiBiase.

No? Thought not.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
