It has been soooooo long... It's now nine years since we had a GM Mode to write home about. NINE whole years! If you're wanting to see why this game mode was so great, make sure to check out SmackDown vs. RAW 2008, the third title to feature it. You are basically put into the role of an on-air authority figure and given all of the responsibilities that come with that. It's one hell of an undertaking but endless hours of fun. Even though the slightly tweaked "WWE Universe Mode" has tried to fill the void since the complete mode was dropped, it simply doesn't capture the same realistic feel that GM Mode had. BRING IT BACK, 2K!
