WWE 2K17 Wishlist: 10 Things It Must Include

1. WCW Showcase Mode

With the Attitude Era and Stone Cold Steve Austin modes we've been given in recent years, that period of wrestling - as fantastic as it was - has just about been covered as much as it can be without becoming tiresome. Why then doesn't 2K - if they want to capitalise on wrestling at its most popular period - do something about WCW; WWE's rival during the Monday Night Wars? 2K15 went down that route sporadically with the WCW pack as a DLC, which included: Diamond Dallas Page, Bam Bam Bigelow, Lex Luger, Fit Finley and Lord Steven Regal. Dallas aside, those men were far from the real stars of the Monday Night Wars, I'm sure you'll agree, so the potential to create something befitting of WCW is there. On top of that, Sting was made one of the main selling points of 2K15 before he had even stepped inside a WWE ring. A great deal of the character models have already been created so the workload for 2K will be reduced somewhat. The mode would be similar to the Attitude Era mode we were treated to in WWE '13, touching on all the key moments that made Ted Turner's organisation so great that it whooped WWE's a** for 84 consecutive weeks in the ratings war. There's one huge sticking point to all of this - Hollywood Hogan. The likes of Steve Austin have stated that they expect The Hulkster and WWE to reconcile in the future after the shocking racism scandal that exploded last summer. So I guess we'll just have to wait till that happens, if it ever does...
