WWE 2K18: 10 Forgotten Things You Can Still Do
6. Play As One Wrestler In Universe Mode
The lack of a proper Story Mode is annoying in 2K's franchise. Why is it so hard to grasp the idea that fans might want to explore WWE as the actual stars they see on TV rather than a created wrestler? Thankfully, Universe Mode (sort of) makes this happen, although you won't have the same in-depth experience as with prior titles like Here Comes The Pain or SmackDown vs. Raw.
In Universe Mode, you don't actually have to play every single match from Raw, SmackDown, NXT or pay-per-view. In fact, more fun comes when focusing on a single superstar's career. This has been helped by 2K's new 'Superstar Goals' feature too. For example, Braun Strowman wants to win the Universal Title, so that'd be your main objective.
Using a sprinkle of your own imaginative powers, it's then possible to get lost in controlling one wrestler. This is far less tedious than the idea of playing through the mode as everyone included, because there are some wrestlers people won't care about. It also quickens the pace, and allows you to jump from wrestler to wrestler.
