WWE 2K18: 10 Superstars Who Could Make Their Franchise Debut
5. Take Your Pick
There's a chance the entire Cruiserweight Division, or at least some of those 205 and under lads could be a DLC pack all by themselves in WWE 2K18. However, if the purple segments on RAW and live crowd reactions during 205 Live are anything to go by then this could potentially be a bit of a silly business decision by those in power as it appears not too many of the WWE Universe have any kind of investment in what they're seeing. I don't think a Cruiserweight DLC would sell too well, but that's just my opinion.
If that's a no-go and just a few of the Cruiserweights are going to make it into the main game's basic roster then there are certainly a few stand out candidates the fill the roles. You would have to suspect that Neville and Austin Aries will be included in the basic roster for 2K18 with their character renders already built following last year's game - Aries of course was part of the Future Stars pack despite the fact he's one of the oldest wrestlers WWE employ today with a 17-year career under his belt. But in terms of Superstars that could make their 2K/WWE franchise debut then I don't think we'd be straying too far outside the likes of Jack Gallagher, The Brian Kendrick, TJP, and Rich Swann. I certainly don't think the likes of HoHo Lun, Drew Gulak and Lince Dorado should be getting their hopes up unless of course the entire roster is somehow squeezed into the game.
It'll certainly be interesting to see what sort of representation 205 Live has in WWE 2K18. Maybe the inclusion or exclusion of stars could tell us if the purple brand has any kind of real future in real life WWE after a more than shaky start to life on television and the WWE Network.
