One of the most exciting new developments on 2K18 is the launch of Road to Glory, the companion mode to MyCareer which allows you to take your superstar online to compete against players the world over.

On paper, at least, it sounds brilliant, and whilst some earlier reviews have claimed that it's as easy to lose interest in as the single player iteration, there are one or two incentives to keep going and, more importantly, rack up those victories. By accumulating extra points, you get access to new ring gear and other (albeit relatively minor) perks.

If nothing else, this will help give the game a little bit of extra shelf life, which is super important for a title whose novelty - for many players - has tended to wear off very soon after they've un-boxed the disc and tried out any newcomers to the roster.
