WWE 2K18: 7 Biggest Disappointments
5. No Improvements To Commentary
Cast your mind back to SmackDown: Just Bring It and you'll be reminded of the horrible commentary system that barely followed the in-ring action. Hearing lines scrambled together from different recording sessions (Tazz saying "Triple H has won the match" in three different tones will haunt us forever) was a product of the time.
Again, that was then, this is now. Things should be better in WWE video games, but the commentary system in 2K18 is still a tangled mess of broken dialogue and lines that seem woefully out of context. Congratulations, 2K, you somehow made smooth-talking announcer Corey Graves seem like a babbling idiot who doesn't even know what he's watching.
Quite how this is possible when the same company produce wonderful narration for their NBA series is anyone's guess. Sure, wrestling is a different animal from basketball, but the TV-style production in NBA 2K18 should still work in WWE 2K18.
You're better off without the commentary, and that's a crying shame.
