WWE 2K18: 7 Biggest Disappointments

1. Knowledge That A Complete Overhaul Isn't Coming

The rinse and repeat cycle of annual October/November releases means 2K's development team don't have time to completely overhaul how WWE video games work. Perhaps the single most disappointing thing about WWE 2K18's release is that gamers know little of note will change even when 2K19 hits stores.

Unless 2K have a dedicated squad working separately from the regular crew, many of the same old problems will crop up next year. Those seeking their wrestling game fix will grow increasingly excited before the game hits shelves, then many of the usual bitter comments expressing gross disappointment will surface immediately afterwards.

Gamers don't want to be disappointed by WWE games, but it's annoying to throw money at 2K's coffers without any real sense of progression. If the development house are content to recycle animations from games older than some of the people playing them, then there's a problem. The WWE series needs a total rethink.
