WWE 2K18: 7 Improvements You Need To Know
5. New Carry Mechanics
One of the more frustrating aspects in recent WWE video games has been triggering the right moves in the right situations. If your opponent isn't placed in exactly the right spot, then you aren't hitting that 'OMG' moment through the announce table. This can make gimmick matches starring tables and ladders particularly fiddly.
To remedy this, 2K have introduced a brand new carry mechanic. Previously, it was possible to drag prone rivals or pull them for a short distance by the head/hair. Now, you're able to shift opponents into 4 different positions: cradle, fireman's carry, shoulder and Powerbomb. The latter 2 need no explanation, but think of the first ones as akin to set up for a Fall Away Slam and Brock Lesnar's F-5.
Hopefully, this will make it easier to pull off all the thumping moves you want to see in 2K18. Best of all, each hold allows you to move into different positions without losing your grip, which will make pulling off Powerbombs through tables (for example) a bit less like pot luck.
