WWE 2K18: 7 New Features You Need To Know
1. There's A New Commentary Team
Praise the Gods, because 2K have finally realised just how dull the commentary has been in WWE games for years. The announce trio of Michael Cole, Jerry 'The King' Lawler and JBL has been put out to pasture in favour of Cole, Byron Saxton and the excellent Corey Graves.
Sure, that threesome are no longer Raw's main announce team, but keep in mind 2K have to give themselves time to record the thousands of lines these guys will be tasked with saying in-game. If nothing else, it's reassuring that 2K noticed commentary was in dire need of an overhaul.
Wrestling commentary is a tough style to master, especially when there's so much player freedom, but 2K must look at their own NBA series for inspiration. Failing that, look at how well announcers in football, ice hockey and even golf games come across.
Now, the next step is ensuring those commentators don't sit there running through one animation cycle when you're crashing someone through their announce desk. They have to react like the real people we see on TV.
