WWE 2K18 Early Reviews: 10 Things We Learned

4. Visual Quality Drops In Multi-Man Matches

In the screenshots showing Cesaro and Sheamus, both characters look like CAW jobs from WWE 2K15. In particular, Sheamus just doesn't look realistic at all. Is that beard painted on? This isn't good, and it's a little poor from 2K to treat one of WWE's best tag-teams this year like an afterthought.

When matches are one-on-one, they look fantastic. Pick a tag-team (or worse, a 6-man tag) match though and you'll see a drop in visual quality inside the ring. Things begin to look a little grainy compared to the slick lighting and high-quality feel to singles matches. To make matters worse, the frame rate gets choppy.

The more wrestlers involved, the lower the frame rate. This doesn't bode well for the Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber matches or even a basic 6-man tag. An awful lot of people are going to want to play 2K18 with friends, so it's a shame they may have to stomach crappier graphics to do so.
