2. The Hint Of An Angle Showcase Mode

Though it was removed from WWE 2K17 for no fathomable reason, the popular Showcase Mode will be back for this year's game. Back with WWE 2K16, we got a Stone Cold Steve Austin Showcase, showing off his greatest matches, and you'd have to think they'll be dedicating this year's version to someone similarly high profile.

With The Undertaker's retirement still fresh in the memory, it would be easy to assume he'd get the prestigious billing, but there was something about the way Kurt Angle mentioned players "recreating" their favourite matches from his career during his press conference. He started that conference talking about his career with WWE and how far he came from his debut - listing off some of his accolades with the company - and later responded to a question about which matches he'd like to see featured in a potential Showcase Mode celebrating his career. There's nothing concrete there, but it's definitely a pretty big hint, and it feels right.

The idea of Kurt Angle's historic career being used as a counter-point to Seth Rollins' upstart anti-history agenda also fits the story-line too.
