Finally, Ken Shamrock, another WWE action figure unveiled at SDCC, tops the list of legends likely to appear in WWE 2K18.

Shamrock became a sports-entertainment pioneer when he joined WWE in 1997 and blended his mixed martial arts fighting style with the worked technique of pro-wrestling. His success paved the way for athletes like Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar to reach new heights in the industry, but for whatever reason, Shamrock hasn't received the proper respect from WWE. This likely coincides with his exclusion from recent WWE 2K video games.

This is not unusual for WWE, whom often neglects major superstars' contributions to their history for one reason or another before, in many cases, deciding to welcome the talent back into their good graces when it becomes economically beneficial. In recent years, 2K Sports have played a major role in bringing some of those prodigal talents back into the fold. It happened with the Ultimate Warrior, then Goldberg, and perhaps Ken Shamrock could be next.

Although Shamrock's potential inclusion in WWE 2K18 is unlikely to have the same impact as a Sting or a Kurt Angle, it would still be a welcome addition to the roster for WWE 2K18.
