WWE 2K18: What The Reviews Are Saying
9. Reversals Are Harder To Execute
It was genuinely nice to have the option to turn off limited reversals in 2K17. If you're one of those players who takes things seriously and likes the ebb and flow of matches without restriction, then this was a godsend. 2K18 allows for the same kind of freedom, but at a price. Now, reversals are a little more tricky to pull off.
This improves the flow of matches and turns something rudimentary into an exciting part of the match for the first time in years. You'll curse out loud as Cesaro reverses that gorgeous Ripcord Knee when playing as Seth Rollins. You'll leap for joy when you manage to turn the tables on an opponent at the last minute too.
Finding balance between making matches seem like a real fight and having them mirror the choreographed displays we see on WWE TV must be challenging for 2K. By making reversals a little bit harder to use, they're going in the right direction.
