WWE 2K18 Wishlist: 11 Things It Must Include
2. More In-Depth Storylines In Career Mode
WWE 2K17's career mode is a lot of fun, but at the same time, it's still missing something. You can pick feuds with other wrestlers and chase titles, but ultimately, there's not the same level of story that you get in WWE programming.
By contract, No Mercy 64 boasted a unique career mode - each game involved a chase for a specific title, and that relatively brief time frame meant that there was more detail injected into the mode. Wrestlers were booked in matches that really advanced feuds, there were twists and turns, and personality played a huge part it in.
Is it possible to combine these things? To have an open-ended career mode that could potentially last for many years of game time but, at the same time, to keep it interesting and packed with story? It would certainly require a lot of care and programming, but it could be the ultimate key in making the next iteration of the game as fun as it could possibly be.
