WWE 2K18 Wishlist: 11 Things It Must Include
8. Deeper Arena Customization
Another fun feature in WWE 2K17 is the ability to create a customized arena. That means that the specific stage setups from every single WWE PPV can be designed with a stunning level of accuracy, and so can other venues - in fact, there's a particularly good downloadable rendition of CMLL's Arena Mexico that makes the player feel like he or she is right in the center of the lucha libre world.
Unfortunately, the customization only goes so deep, and it's hard to create certain kinds of venues. For starters, there's no way to make a huge stadium, like the kinds where WrestleMania is held. When playing at WrestleMania in the game, the upper decks are shadowed to give the impressive of greater size, but it's not terribly effective.
It's also hard to make arenas that are asymmetrical. For instance, Korakuen Hall - the most venerated wrestling venue in all of Japan - has bleachers on one side of the ring and seats on the other, as well as standing room balconies of two of the sides. Unfortunately, it's not possible to represent all of that accurately with 2K17's capabilities.
