WWE 2K19: 10 Biggest Changes 2K Must Make

1. A Brand New Gameplay Engine

WWE 2K18's flashy new lighting system did look stunning at times, and there's no doubt the graphical polish helped the game look better than its predecessors. That said, it's unforgivable that 2K are recycling animations from the year 2000.

Seriously, some of the basic moves, the way hair flows (or doesn't), the bothersome strikes that glitch through another character's body without making contact and general movements have barely changed since THQ released the original SmackDown almost 19 years ago.

The core engine hasn't really ever been built from the ground up again, or at least it doesn't look like it has.

Everything is creaking, and it's about time 2K scrapped the old engine so they can develop something fresh. Those jerky movements, spaghetti strand hairdos and gliding walking animations have got to go. There's no reason why a game released in 2018, on powerful hardware like the PS4 or Xbox One, has to operate on top of something made decades ago.
