WWE 2K19: 10 Biggest Changes 2K Must Make
4. More Voiceovers (Way More)
There's a rumour doing the rounds that 2K19 will feature a ton of different superstar voice clips. Baron Corbin leaked on Snapchat that he was recording some lines for the game, and that had people rushing for social media to discuss what this might mean for the promo system or MyCareer.
Cramming samples from every single name on the roster on disc is probably a pipe dream, but it's always been annoying to see 2K's series repeatedly favour reading text over hearing characters talk. Imagine that happening in any other major series; instead of listening to Nolan North's brilliant voice work in Uncharted, how about watching a mute Nathan Drake?
No thanks.
The biggest names in WWE, like Roman Reigns, John Cena, AJ Styles, Seth Rollins and others, desperately need some sort of voice in-game. One major roadblock appears to be 2K's love of open-ended, random cut scenes, rather than crafting a tight narrative that would make recording lines easier.
