Then, there are others on Twitter rumouring that 2K19 won't have a Showcase at all. Instead, those folks believe the old Road To WrestleMania story mode will make a comeback and let gamers play through Daniel Bryan's journey from SummerSlam 2013 until his World Title coronation at WrestleMania XXX.

Either or would be fine for this fan. It'd just be awesome to see at least one other story-based mode pin down 2K19's feature set. As good as Universe can be when it's ticking, and as cool as the new Towers Mode sounds in theory, neither is that meaty, story-driven mode long time players yearn for.

A Road To WrestleMania tale centred on Bryan would scratch a major itch for those who want more storyline content, and it'd appease those in WWE who want to cash in on fan sentiment for the returning hero. In a perfect world, 2K19 would feature both a Showcase (for someone else) and Road To 'Mania.
