WWE 2K19: 10 Ways To Save Universe Mode

7. An Annual WWE Draft Option

2K are missing a trick by not including the option to hold a WWE Draft right at the start of Universe Mode.

This was possible way back in 2002's SmackDown: Shut Your Mouth, and it was a real thrill to see Vince McMahon (SmackDown) and Ric Flair (Raw) pick their own rosters for the upcoming season. In 2K19, Kurt Angle and Daniel Bryan, or whoever the General Managers are on both shows come release, need to do the same.

A Draft helps keep things interesting and gives purpose to any brand switches. Currently, it's possible to switch wrestlers to another show at any time. That's fine, keep that in, but give players the alternative of fixed rosters until the next Draft special comes along too. It's in-keeping with WWE's product over the past few years and fun.

That's really the key word: fun. Universe Mode lacks the feel of a feature designed with enjoyment in mind right now. A Draft feature feeds that fun factor and, best of all, melds player customisation with something we've seen on WWE TV.
