WWE 2K19: 8 Things You Need To Know
1. 2K Have Been Recording Superstar Voiceovers
Anyone who follows Baron Corbin on Snapchat will probably already know this one.
Corbin shared a snap with the caption, "knocking out some stuff for 2K". In the pic, he's clearly in a locker room backstage, which suggests 2K have decided to go on the road with WWE so they can grab some voice overs where they can. That's smart, because it wouldn't be cost-effective or realistic to summon everyone into the team's New York studio.
The exciting thing here is the idea that there will be actual superstar voices in-game. Maybe Corbin (as a new Raw authority figure) was only recording skeleton dialogue for MyCareer, or maybe he's just one of many to lay down lines for a revamped promo system.
Whatever the case, it's awesome to think that 2K19 will have at least some new voices in it. Those text-based cut scenes, with mouths that don't match what's being said, feel painfully archaic, and it's high-time characters in WWE games actually spoke out loud.
