WWE 2K19 Early Reviews: 7 Things We Learned
6. It's A Better Multiplayer Experience
This is another one from Stuff.
They say the tighter control scheme makes 2K19 a riot to play competitively on-the-couch with friends in multiplayer. That's good news. Most of the local co-op fun in recent games has come from exploiting gameplay flaws, experimenting with big bumps or just goofing around.
Now, it's entirely possible to have competitive matches against one another than don't feel like endless reversal fests; whilst that was almost the case in recent years thanks to the advent of limited reversal slots, matches still carried a familiar routine of newcomers struggling to block anything.
A quicker, arcade-like pace to the game should make it better. WWE video games have suffered for too long from a plodding style that makes matches a chore rather than fun. If 2K have mastered the art of balancing between simulation and arcade, then longtime fans of the series are in for a treat when playing with pals.
