WWE 2K19 Towers Mode: Everything You Need To Know
7. There Are Two Tower Types
Choose to tackle the new Towers Mode and you'll be met with one simple choice right off the bat. Players can either launch head first into a full-on Gauntlet that doesn't cease until they complete it or lose, or they can elect for a step-by-step process that will allow for saves and dipping in and out of the mode entirely.
It's nice of 2K to cater to hardcore gamers and casuals alike with such a subtle design idea.
In Gauntlet, quitting a match before it's finished will reset your score all the way back to zero. That means there are no second chances, and you must finish each match successfully to progress. 'Steps' soften the challenge a little there. Choose that and there won't be such a pressurised panic to fend off the threat of defeat.
Interestingly, Gauntlets won't replenish player health in between matches. That gives things a realistic one-night tournament feel, which is very much welcome. It also fits in with 2K's non-stop drive towards pro wrestling simulation too.
