WWE 2K19 Universe Mode: 7 Improvements You Need To Know About
2. Promos Have Been Revamped
Seeing child-friendly John Cena make constant 'your mother' jokes and Brock Lesnar brag like Rick Rude in his prime were the kind of things that kept last year's promo system from soaring. It never felt natural, and getting a decent promo score was more about luck than paying attention to the dialogue or flow of a conversation.
The whole thing needed an overhaul, and it got one.
2K19's promo mechanic promises to be much more satisfying. Wrestlers will now discuss recent events that happened on the previous week's show, like attacks, wins, losses etc, and rivalries will have more of a contextual vibe overall. Arguably the best change though is being able to pick how each wrestler acts during his/her spoken segments before they happen.
This is called 'Promo Attitude', and it'll let you dismiss cocky heel Lesnar in favour of the more realistic stoic, ass-kicking monster instead. On top of that, there are some new animations to show off and a more accurate rating system.
