WWE 2K20: 10 Biggest Fears Hardcore Fans Have
2. Familiar Female Exclusion From MyCareer
Ignore the haters, because 2K19's MyCareer was a vast improvement over 2K18's limping yawnfest. There were bags of spirit in your CAWs journey from independent stand out to WWE Superstar, and the little touches of Bray Wyatt-style menace and Matt Hardy-style madness helped things along nicely.
If only they'd included an alternative storyline for gamers who wanted to play as a female character.
2K have surely learned their lesson here. They're not on board with WWE's presentation of women's wrestling at all, and it's starting to become a glaring issue. When stars like Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair and (latterly) Ronda Rousey light up programming and headline WrestleMania cards in the real world yet continue being afterthoughts in the digital realm, something needs to change.
MyCareer could do with a second timeline that reflects the women's movement. It's totally naff that fans can't build their own powerful female icon and take them from NXT scrub to Raw or SmackDown Women's Champion in the main event of 'Mania.
