WWE 2K20: 10 Biggest Fears Hardcore Fans Have
10. 2K Don't Live Up To Yukes' Demands
Yukes made it pretty clear in May that they weren't happy with 2K's work with the WWE license. Senior vice president and producer Hiromi Furuta said it was time to hit the refresh button and start giving fans something they could be proud of rather than endless annual updates.
Over to you, 2K.
The problem here is one word: "annual". 2K don't have bags of time between each game to make significant changes, and that may mean they fall short of Yukes' demands. One must wonder what will happen if they do; would Furuta grow tired of sameness and cast 2K out before seeking another developer who has fresh ideas? Maybe, or maybe not.
No fan of WWE games should want to see 2K fail. They produce experiences that have fun elements without smacking players across the face with them like THQ often did. It's going to be interesting to see if they can match up to Yukes' statement of intent.
