WWE 2K20: 10 Biggest Innovations We Need To See
7. Selection Screen Grouping
Here's another small tweak that would make getting to the actual matches a much quicker process.
On the wrestler selection screen, everyone is organised alphabetically. That's fine, because you can use the shoulder buttons to dash between letters, but it does make the whole place a bit messy, especially when there are Legends waiting to be unlocked that still show up greyed out. It'd be nicer if 2K could group stars into specific sections.
Here's an example: select Bret Hart and the game should assume that you fancy matching him up against someone from his era. If it then instantly went to fellow unlocked Legends, it'd be slicker. Or, if that doesn't suit, how about simply having tabs for Raw, SmackDown, NXT, Legends etc.?
2K already do this for the women. Pick Becky Lynch or Charlotte Flair and the game automatically guesses that you're looking for another female to fill out the match. Something as rudimentary as picking a wrestler shouldn't require trawling through the alphabet.
