Though Big Banter has morphed into a great heel character over the last few years, should that alone translate to such an egregiously high overall rating?
87 is a decent leap from his 84 rating in the two previous games, and even accepting Corbin's recent King of the Ring victory, nothing he's done in the ring suggests he's capable of a score on par with, for instance, Braun Strowman, and within spitting distance of Daniel Bryan (89).
84 was already pushing it last year, but given his recent success, that probably would've felt like an apt rating this time around. As it stands, 87 is more an indication of the in-ring personality than his actual skill in the squared circle.
