WWE 2K20: 10 Most Wanted New Features

1. More Emphasis On Fantasy Storylines

We haven't had a genuine, superstar-centric story mode for years in WWE video games. Gone are the days of picking anyone on the roster and taking them from Sunday Night Heat through to Raw, SmackDown and title successes on pay-per-view. If 2K don't want to do that, then they can at least offer up fantasy of a different sort.

They need only look back to their branding pre-launch of 2K17 for that.

Back then, WWE announcers made a bigger deal than usual of the fact players could play out dream matches in-game. The whole thing centred around Bill Goldberg's return to face Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series that year, and it was a neat way to promote the new game. Why aren't they doing more of that?

Bret Hart vs. Daniel Bryan, Shawn Michaels vs. The Rock, Trish Stratus vs. Becky Lynch, that elusive Sting vs. The Undertaker match that got away all spring to mind. The list is pretty endless, and it'd be amazing to see 2K craft some original stories to go along with these fantastical scenarios as part of some sort of 'Dream Match' mode.
