8. A Faster Game Engine

A new, slicker game engine would go hand-in-hand with that.

Now, don't get us wrong, there's something to be said for a slower pace. The way matches organically build and get faster in 2K19 is subtle but delicious, and it stops every single match from being Will Ospreay vs. Ricochet circa 2016. That's fine. The question is: is 'fine' really good enough?

This is a video game. Though providing some simulation elements is a nice touch, there should be more of an emphasis on fun, user satisfaction and intuitive design. 2K19, at times, lacked that rush of speed wrestling games were once known for. Our suggestion? Offer both.

The easiest way to do this would be tacking on some speed dials to the customisation options in the menus that already exist. It'd be great to have control over how long wrestlers took to recover from bumps, how fast they could run and how quickly animation cycles played out during moves.
