You might stare incredulously at the above pic and wonder aloud, 'What is this crazy bullsh*t?'.

It's concept art for what 2K are calling '2K20 Originals'. The feature will deliver content after launch, and it'll be neatly packaged up as DLC fans can pick and choose from if they crave more from the game. What is it? Well, it's a collection of themed worlds that tie into the Showcase structure of storytelling and objective-based gameplay.

Honestly, it all sounds a bit weird right now. The lack of detail to 2K's announcement for Originals does give the mode some mystical charm, but it needs to be more than just more wacky nonsense if it hopes to have longevity as part of the series. That Bray Wyatt arena and ring set up in the background of the artwork does look hauntingly awesome though.

By drenching WWE's product in fantasy, 2K are opening all sorts of doors. Think of what their imaginations could drum up with older characters like The Undertaker, Kane, Mankind and Mantaur. OK, maybe not Mantaur.
